The Ravens won again this week but it wasn't because of a good job by the defense or a good running game. The Ravens won this game because the Bills kept shooting themselves in the foot all game long. They turned over the ball over 5 times and had numerous costly penalties called against them.
Week 7 of the NFL has come and gone but the Ravens still haven't got their passing game figured out. There were way too many three and outs in the game. Take away that 47-yard pass to Travis Taylor and Boller has 39 yards for the entire game. Boller has now started 15 NFL games and the Ravens' coaches and personnel should have seen enough to decide where Boller is the real thing or not. With Jamal Lewis and a good offensive line, Boller should have done much much better.
The defense once again carried this team to another victory. They picked off Bledsoe 4 times, twice by Deion Primetime Sanders, once returning it for a TD. One thing I didn't understand about the Ravens defensive game was why wasn't McAlister covering Moulds? Most of the time he was covered by either Baxter or Sanders. I read somewhere that since he signed his new contract, he will be primarily staying on once side of the field whomever he might be covering. What kind of nonsense is that? Shouldn't our best corner be covering the opponent's best receiver?
So far this year the Ravens have faced only one team that is expected to make it to the playoffs and that was the Steelers, which the Ravens defeated. Next week the Ravens will face their biggest test of the year when the visit the 6-0 Eagles. For the Ravens to win this game they need Heap, Ogden and Flynn back on offense. The defense never seems to fail the team but in this game it will take equal and great participation from all aspects of the football team. Philly can't stop the run and must be drained from their Week 7 game against the Browns, which went to overtime. If only Jamal could play, then the Ravens could have been in good position to give the Eagles their first loss of the year.

You must not have watched that K.C. game when it was on Monday Night Football. Both sides of the ball were atrocious that night. K.C. shredded the Ravens defense and it was a fluke that they only lost by 3 points. But I generally agree with what you're saying about the defense. That was just one game, but the Ravens D still seems susceptible in the secondary, which is a weakness that Philly may be able to exploit with great success given their QB and #1 WR. Of course, #21 completely shut down Owens last year when he visited M&T with the 49ers, but that was then...
